  • The investigations described here have been developed by teachers with experience in schools and colleges worldwide.
  • The techniques, equipment and chemicals used are, as far as possible, simple and present few hazards.
  • Where hazards exist they are minimal, are clearly identified and the precautions for safe working are indicated.
  • Students and teachers should:
    • follow good laboratory practices.
    • complete their own risk assessments.

  • Students should work under adequate supervision.
